Seven years after they first met on the sets of Jolly Days , actors Spoorthi and Vishwas are ready to tie the knot to become man and wife in real life.
Spoorthi was a television anchor before she was cast in the teenage love story directed by MD Sridhar. Vishwas made his debut in the film along with a host of other young actors. Among all the young actors, Spoorthi and Vishwas fell in love. Spoorthi says it took her seven years to convince her parents about the match.
After Jolly Days, Vishwas was promoted to a solo lead in Kalgejje. Spoorthi had bigger career in films likeJhosh , Prithvi , Bodyguard , Maduve Mane and also ventured into Tamil and Telugu with films like Yuvanm Manadil Ormatram, Jeeva and Kiritam. After Prithvi, it was only character roles, especially as the leading man's sister, that Spoorthi was identified with.
Her only film as the solo female lead, Guerilla, is yet to release. Earlier this year, Spoorthi and Vishwas were paired together as the lead characters in the television serial Ati Madhura Anuraaga. The actors will wed in Tirupati on September 30 and a reception will be held in Bangalore on November 2.
