Realtor to BCA: Don't use palace land for cricket
VADODARA: Realtor C K Shah, who has filed arbitration proceedings against royal scion Sangramsinh Gaekwad and his family in the Gujarat high court, has now asked the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) to not use Laxmi Vilas Palace compound for preparing cricket ground.
Shah has written a letter to the BCA and informed about the ongoing dispute between him and the Gaekwad family regarding the property owned by the latter.

"We have learnt that Sangramsinh's son Pratapsinhrao has offered a portion of the land he owns in Laxmi Vilas Palace compound to BCA for developing cricketing facilities. I wrote to BCA and asked them not to get involved in the land as it is a disputed property now," Shah said.
BCA secretary Anshuman Gaekwad, however, said, "I didn't accept their letter as we are not buying the land offered by Pratapsinhrao. There is no contract with the Gaekwad family. So, we are not involved in the matter in any manner. Pratapsinhrao has just offered us to use the land for cricket development."
Pratapsinhrao had written a letter to the BCA some days ago and offered a portion of the 55-acre land he owns in the palace compound.
