New Five-Star Hotel Opens in Singapore

A new five-star luxury hotel has opened in Singapore.

Located within a mixed-use lifestyle complex at Farrer Park called Connexion, the 243-room One Farrer Hotel & Spa will open in phases, starting with the Urban Hotel, before the Loft Apartments and Skyline Hotel & Sky Villas open over the upcoming months.

In the opening phase, hotel residents can look forward to experiencing the Urban Hotel, which spans across Levels 11 to 15 of the complex and offers 128 rooms and suites over three categories, the Urban Room, Urban Den and Urban Executive Suite.

The rooms within the Urban Hotel are all enhanced by individually controlled in-room mood lighting, amenity services and temperature controls, ‘sleep well’ beds, generous-sized rain showers, ‘perfect view’ mirrors and 55-inch smart televisions that are utilised to view in-room dining menus as well as the in-room shopping catalogue. To further extend the in-room experience, the hotel’s mini bars and WiFi are complimentary.

Along with the hotel’s opening, guests will be able to indulge in a smorgasbord of local and international cuisine from the hotel’s 24-hour restaurant and lounge, Escape, which presents an open format interactive kitchen. With a capacity of 170 seats indoors and outdoors, guests can personally make their selections from the interactive kitchen or order from the complete a la carte menu.

The hotel’s state-of-the-art conference centre, One Farrer Conference Centre, features a Grand Ballroom, three meeting rooms and a range of indoor and outdoor event spaces. The hotel’s MICE facilities showcase comprehensive amenities, such as touchscreen control panel for presenters, handheld Samsung interactive tablets for conference delegates, video  streaming connections from Farrer Park Hospital’s 18 operating rooms and the hotel’s Institute of Nutrition and more. Apart from the Grand Ballroom and meeting rooms, other event spaces such as an air-conditioned marquee and poolside venues are expected to open in the near future.

In addition, upcoming F&B offerings include Local, Fresh & Seasonal (LFS), which serves freshly produced dishes for a quick meal or takeaway; Institute of Nutrition, Origins of Food, Food Street, One Farrer Confectionery and Owen Road Diner, a unique virtual restaurant that operates on an electronic ordering system and extends its quick delivery service within the Connexion campus.

The hotel's Spa Retreat will feature an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 24/7 Workout, Japanese-style onsens, reflexology water walk, relaxation gardens and comprehensive fitness facilities, the Spa Retreat offers a wide range of spa treatment experiences that will bring a harmonious balance to both body and mind.
