6 killed in rain related incidents in Lahore
At least six people were killed in rain related incidents in Lahore on Wednesday.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - At least six people, including two women and a child, were killed in roof collapse incidents in different areas of the city on Wednesday.
According to details, roof of a double storey building collapsed in Chah Miran area due to torrential rain, killing six people. The deceased included two women and a kid.
Separately, four people were badly injured when roof of a house collapsed in Mozang area while four more people were wounded when roof of a house collapsed in Johar Town area.
Lahore and its suburbs received heavy rain on Wednesday. Several roads in the city were submerged under three to four feet of rainwater. Dozens of motorcycles and cars were trapped on flooded roads and people faced hardship in reaching their homes.
According to Met Office, Lahore received more than 130 millimetre rain so far. The Met Office has predicted more rain in the city during nest 48 hours.
