Bhubaneswar/KORAPUT: Train traffic between Koraput and Rayagada will resume on Wednesday. East Coast Railway had suspended services on Saturday because of inclement weather.
"We had short-terminated trains fearing landslides. Since no landslide was reported in the last few days, we decided to resume services," said a senior railway official.
In July, train traffic between Koraput and Rayagada was hit for around a week following landslides at various places between Liligumma and Bhalumaska railway stations.

According to a forecast by India Meteorological Department, the state is likely to receive rain till September 8 as another low pressure is expected by Thursday.
It has been constantly raining in the state since last week due to a low pressure over Bay of Bengal. On Tuesday, this system was lying over north-west Madhya Pradesh and its neighbourhood. Besides, another low pressure was formed over Saurashtra and Kutch and adjoining north-east Arabian Sea, said the forecast.
The rainfall report on Tuesday said Deogarh and Reamal received 110 mm rain followed by Bijepur (90 mm) and Bangiriposi (80 mm).
