Andrew Ruben Fierro, a 31-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday Aug. 22 in the 200 block of North Arizona Avenue in East Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 9:45 p.m., Fierro had pulled up to a relative’s home and was sitting in his car when another vehicle drove up and a person inside fired several rounds, said Det. Q. Rodriguez with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Fierro, who worked for a trucking company, had just gone to the grocery store and was picking his children up when he was killed, Rodriguez said. He was due to take his wife and children to the beach the next day.
Fierro was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:21 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
