Former beauty queen Celina Jaitly is soon going to make her Broadway debut and with none other than the 16-time Grammy-winning musician, Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner — better known as Sting.
The beauty queen says, “I am thrilled and exhilarated.”
Born to a Punjabi Indian father and Afghan mother, Celina is a popular bollywood face too. Besides singing with the 62-year-old veteran of The Police fame, she will join Grammy-winner Patti LuPone at a special UN benefit concert for equality at a Broadway theatre in New York City on September 15.
Jaitly, an active LGBT rights supporter and UN goodwill ambassador, will perform a special Bollywood-theme soundtrack that was created for UN’s anti-homophobia campaign.
