Karan Johar's dream project, "Shhuddhi", that has recently roped in Salman Khan after many popular stars rejected the project, has been in the news every now and then.

Previously, Hrithik Roshan was offered to play the lead role but he rejected citing heath issues and his committment to "Bang Bang" project, which later rolled on to Salman.

But it appears like Roshan is happy that Salman has been signed in to play the lead role in the film, reported DNA.

Roshan stressed that he finds the "Dabanng" star the most suitable actor for the film and due to his versatility, can get into the skin of the character very well.

The "Bang Bang" actor has even made his point that he is not disappointed to walk out of "Shhuddhi" as he had to extend the shoots for "Bang Bang" as the project had already been postponed. There were also reports that the actor backed out as the production of "Shhuddhi" got delayed.

"Shhuddhi" has been in the news ever since Johar came up with the project and from then speculations regarding the lead pair have been doing the rounds. Earlier, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's names were associated with the project. There were also some reports claiming that the film has been shelved.

But with the association of Salman in the film, "Shhuddhi" has only become bigger. However, the makers are yet to announce the leading actress of the film along with other cast and crew members. However, Kareena Kapoor Khan was roped in to play the lead actress in the film, but she too stepped down after Roshan, as her idea was to work with the "Krrish 3" actor.

Meanwhile, Roshan is busy with the promotions of his upcoming action thriller, "Bang Bang" opposite Katrina Kaif. The flick directed by Sidharth Anand has garnered overwhelming responses from the audience. The film also stars, Jaaved Jaffrey, Danny Denzongpa and Pavan Malhotra in pivotal roles.

Anand's "Bang Bang" is the official remake of the Hollywood film "Knight And Day" starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on 2 October.
