Hongxing Steel’s operating revenue rises by 21.9 percent in H1

Gansu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (JISCO) has announced in its financial report for the first half of the current year that its Gansu-based subsidiary Hongxing Steel recorded an operating revenue of RMB 54.489 billion ($8.85 billion) in the given period, up 21.91 percent year on year, while it registered a net loss of RMB 322 million ($52.27 million), compared to a net profit of RMB 239.9 million in the first half of last year.

In the first half this year, Hongxing Steel produced 4.5530 million mt of pig iron, 5.2994 million mt of crude steel and 5.1508 million mt of finished steel.
