Dulquer Salmaan Gets 100K Followers on Twitter; Beats Mammootty on Facebook

Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan is on a roll.

The young sensation has fans all over the world with more than one lakh followers on his Twitter account. He is one of the few Malayalam actors who are active on the micro-blogging site.

Recently, in terms of Facebook followers, Dulquer had beaten his father Mammootty.

Dulquer has more than 2.5 million followers, whereas his father has 2.4 million followers.

Meanwhile, superstar Mohanlal remains unbeatable among Malayalam actors in terms of Facebook fan following, with more than 2.6 million likes.

Among the young stars, Dulquer is followed by Nivin Pauly, Fahad Faasil, Prithviraj and Asif Ali.

Isha Talwar to Play in "Thattathin Marayathu" Tamil Remake

Isha Talwar, who made her debut with the Malayalam film "Thattathin Marayathu", is all set to be part of its Tamil remake as well.

The film will be directed by Mithran Jawahar of "Yaaradi Nee Mohini" fame, which starred Dhanush and Nayanthara in the lead.

The film is said to have a few changes from its original version to cater the Tamil audience and its shooting is expected to kick start by 10 September.

The film's music will be composed by G. V. Prakash and the hero is reportedly a newcomer.

"Thattathin Marayathu", released in 2012, is one of the best musical romantic films ever in Malayalam. The film, which starred Nivin and Isha in the lead was directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan.

The film opened to positive reviews and became one of the biggest hits in Malayalam.

Meanwhile, Isha's debut performance was the biggest hit ever for her. Her character Aysha became a household name and later became a synonym for beautiful Malabar girls. She made her Tamil debut with the film "Thillu Thillu 2", which was the remake of the 1981 Tamil comedy film with the same title.

Mammootty's 'Rajadhi Raja' Censored with U/A Certificate

Mammootty's upcoming film "Rajadhi Raja" is censored with U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification. The duration of the film is now 148 minutes and 51 Seconds.

"Rajadhi Raja" is directed by debutant Ajai Vasudev and is set to release on 5 September.

The film also has Raai Laxmi, Siddhique, Joy Mathew, Lena, Joju George, Mukesh Khanna, Bheeman Raghu, Babu Namboothiri, Rahul Dev and Taniya Stanely in pivotal roles. It will also see Shamna Khasim making a cameo appearance with an item dance. Unni Mukundan also has a cameo role in one of the song sequences.

The film is produced by M. K. Naseer and Stanely C. S. under the banner of Goodline Productions.
