Mark Wahlberg wasn’t at his brother Donnie’s wedding in Illinois over the weekend because of his daughter’s birthday, according to a video on Instagram posted by Mark late last week. But Donnie did have sibling support at Sunday’s festivities. Wahlburgers chef and Hingham celeb Paul Wahlberg was spotted at the affair, which was held in St. Charles, Ill., not far from bride Jenny McCarthy’s hometown. Other guests included Sherri Shepherd, McCarthy’s former cohost on “The View.” Mark did tweet some kind words on Saturday. “Congratulations @DonnieWahlberg and @JennyMcCarthy, so happy for you both today.” . . . Mark’s wife, Rhea Durham, who has been in Boston for much of the summer while her husband films “Ted 2,” has been busy writing a blog (RheaWahlberg.com) in which she discusses family life. In an entry posted Sunday, she wrote, of Mark, “This man can make me so frustrated that I want to run down the street ripping my hair out — as I am positive that I do the same to him as well! . . . Now having said all of that, the man that I chose to marry is kind, spiritual, loving and an amazing father who would do anything to protect his family. . . . He is an eternal optimist, always looking at the positive instead of the negative. He is also one of the most generous people I’ve ever met — not only with his family but with people he doesn’t even know — driving by churches on Sunday to give money to the homeless. (By the way, he knows most of them by name.) . . . Most of you view him as just a ‘movie star’ but this is a peek inside to what else he really is.” Mark is expected to be in Boston this week filming more of his “Ted” sequel. And it seems that Miss Massachusetts USA 2014 Caroline Lunny will be joining him. She tweeted Friday, “At my fitting for Ted 2 . . . need to go home and do lots of research for my role as ‘hot chick.’ Mom I’ve made it.”
