Blackburn Rovers beat the transfer deadline to complete the loan signing of Fulham midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe.

Tunnicliffe became Rovers' third signing after Everton defender Shane Duffy and Middlesbrough keeper Jason Steele agreed deals to move to Ewood Park.

He came through the ranks at Manchester United and helped them win the FA Youth Cup in 2011, but he was only able to make two appearances in their senior side, both in the Capital One Cup.

Fulham eventually signed Tunnicliffe in January but, after Felix Magath took over at Craven Cottage, he was loaned out to Wigan for a brief spell.

"I can't wait to get started," Tunnicliffe told Blackburn's official website.

"First and foremost it is a massive club, a club that belongs in the Premier League, so I'm looking forward to getting back playing and obviously the target is to get the club back up there."
