London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Tottenham confirmed on Monday that the club has signed midfielder Benjamin Stambouli from Montpellier for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old passed a medical at White Hart Lane on Monday after the two sides agreed to a fee on Saturday, making Stambouli the sixth signing of the summer for Spurs.

In addition to Stambouli, Tottenham has also recruited Federico Fazio, DeAndre Yedlin, Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Eric Dier to London, while the team loaned midfielder Lewis Holtby to Hamburg on Monday.

A former French Under-21 international, Stambouli started 37 of Montpellier's 38 games in Ligue 1 last term, scoring two goals.
