TTD’s ‘Kalaneerajanam’ evokes good response from artistes

Tummalapalli Kalakshetram reverberated with classical music and instrumental music as many artistes from Prakasam district competed in the preliminary rounds of Kalaneerajanam programme conducted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in association with Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishat.

Artistes, who clear the finals of Kalaneerajanam will be provided an opportunity to perform in Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) programmes being run by TTD. Competitions are conducted in traditional bhakti music (gatram), instrumental music (vayidyam) and Indian traditional dance (Bharatiya sampradaya nrutyam) for Prakasam, Guntur, West Godavari and Krishna district artists. Sri Venkateswara Music and Dance College, Tirupati principal Y.V.S.Padmavathi and Projects Deputy Executive Officer Sharada attended the programme on Monday.
