Says a source, “Despite introducing numerous twists and turns, the show has not been able to garner good ratings. Secondly, with KaunBanegaCrorepati going on air, the show’s time slot has been changed.” Initially, the show revolved around Sharda (Poonam Dhillon) and her struggle to carve an identity.
Later, the makers introduced an other-woman angle with Pallavi (Padmini Kolhapure) debuting as the other woman, but it failed to work. Adds the source, “Getting an actress of Padmini’s calibre, the makers felt, would be the biggest twist. However, that also had to be done away within a couple of months.”
Poonam says, “People are not even aware that the show’s time slot has changed. I am not sure if it’s going off air, but with the new time slot, and KBC’s latest season underway, viewers may have felt that the show has ended with Padmini’s exit.”
