Salman Khan’s family apparently opted for an eco-friendly way to perform the immersion of their Ganpati idol.
The Khandaan kept Ganeshji in their residence for a day-and-a-half as is their usual practice. However, the novelty this time was that they created a makeshift pond in their building complex for the visarjan.

A source, who visited for darshan, says that the suggestion was made by Salman, who was in Canada that day.
“Last year, when Salman was taking Lord Ganesha for the immersion, a couple of the family’s cars got damaged as people thronged for a closer glimpse of the superstar. Some even got on top of the cars while they were parked outside the visarjan venue,” reveals our source, adding, “Since Salman was not around this time, he was worried about his family’s security.”
It is also being said that henceforth, the family may prefer to perform the immersion in the artificial pond.
