(MENAFN- QNA) Two local policemen were killed Monday in Karachi after unknown gunmen opened fire at them.
Pakistani Al Fajr newspaper reported today that the incident took place while the two policemen were on duty. A police unit moved immediately to the location of the shooting to investigate the incident. This brings the total number of shot policemen in Karachi to 127 in 2014.
Karachi has been subject for security turbulences for several years that saw thousands of civilians killed. The authorities have continuously failed to gain its control over the city despite countless security attempts against gunmen residing in the city.
