Puck to open three restaurants at Four Seasons Bahrain Bay

MANAMA, September 1, 2014

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay has announced that Michelin-starred chef Wolfgang Puck will open three concept restaurants at the new hotel in Manama, Bahrain.

The five-star hotel in Manama's Bahrain Bay area is expected to open soon.

Four Seasons will extend its long-standing relationship with Wolfgang and the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group with the opening of two signature restaurants and a new bar & lounge from the legendary chef:  CUT by Wolfgang Puck; Re Asian Cuisine | Wolfgang Puck; and Blue Moon Lounge / Wolfgang Puck, the hotel said.

“The Middle East had been an area of great interest for us for quite some time,” said Wolfgang Puck.  “We opened in Dubai last spring and we are really excited to expand in the region with the opening of two restaurants and our new signature lounge concept.

"We knew Four Seasons would be the perfect address for us in Bahrain Bay. The hotel is a stunning architectural landmark, and we share the same vision with the Four Seasons in providing guests with the most memorable experiences. We look forward to bringing something truly extraordinary to diners in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

CUT by Wolfgang Puck will provide a modern and sophisticated aesthetic with luxurious clean lines and gorgeous views over the pool and lush grounds of the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay and the city of Manama. The restaurant will occupy a two-level space on the hotel’s ground and first floors.  Guests will enter through the bar and lounge area and then ascend via a stunning staircase into the restaurant. Since its opening in Beverly Hills in 2006, CUT has become one of the most sought after restaurants in the world and is recognised as one of the most popular and finest in America, Singapore, London and Dubai, said the statement.

"CUT will deliver innovation at every level through its unique culinary, service and design combination.  The restaurant presents a contemporary interpretation on the classic American steak house through global influences and Wolfgang’s philosophy of offering only the finest and freshest ingredients.  From prime dry- and wet-aged beef to shellfish and sautéed and roasted whole fresh fish, CUT’s menus will provide broad appeal," it said.

Re Asian Cuisine | Wolfgang Puck will be located on the 50th floor of the hotel and will provide spectacular views of Bahrain Bay and the Manama skyline. The elegant dining room will exude a refined and luxurious feel. Featuring Wolfgang’s signature, modern approach to traditional Chinese cuisine, the restaurant will provide a “re”-evolution of what the master chef has been passionate about for the majority of his career.  Re will reveal this culinary progression and demand for more refined Asian cooking including Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese influences, it said.

Blue Moon Lounge / Wolfgang Puck will offer an opulent, lavish space in which guests can relax and enjoy spectacular sunsets and the twinkling city lights while perched 50 floors above the bay.  The Moroccan-inspired lounge will feature lush and comfortable seating for guests to enjoy an inventive bar menu which will complement a wide selection of custom-crafted innovative cocktails, liqueurs and wines.

All three outlets are crafted by Waldo Fernandez, whose projects include the recent design of the Spago Beverly Hills plus the residences of multiple Hollywood A-list celebrities.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to pair with Wolfgang Puck once again, especially myself having personally worked with him and his team at Four Seasons Resort Maui when he opened his restaurant Spago, “said Greg Pirkle, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.  “He is a true talent in the culinary world and it’s a real coup for the Bahraini dining scene for someone of Wolfgang Puck’s calibre and repute to enter the city with such a strong presence.  That he is seriously eyeing the Middle East diner says something about the growing maturity and sophistication of the dining landscape in Bahrain and we are sure his presence will pave the way for many more international dining concepts to enter Manama.”

The Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay is a magnificent urban resort. Designed by world-renowned SOM architects and occupying its own private island, the hotel is instantly an iconic building both in Bahrain and the entire Middle East.
