Tickets for Sharapova, Serena and co. at MOA set at P49k for VIP, P2.5k for Gen Ad

(Updated 9:14pm) Ticket prices for the Manila leg of the International Premiere Tennis League were released Monday, with fans getting an opportunity to see their favorite tennis players for as little as Php 2,500 at Mall of Asia Arena from November 28 to 30.

The four-team tennis tournament will see some of the best tennis players representing four countries. Maria Sharapova will join Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Carlos Moya, Kirsten Flipkens, Daniel Nestor and Fil-Am doubles veteran Treat Huey in the Manila Mavericks team.

Organizers clarified that not all players will take the trip to Manila. Serena Williams, Ana Ivanovic, Eugenie Bouchard, Daniela Hantuchova, Sanja Mirza, Tomas Berdych, Richard Gasquet, Lleyton Hewitt, Goran Ivanisevic, Patrick Rafter, Gael Monfils, and Fabrice Santoro are some of the athletes who will make the trip.

"All teams are in Manila but not all players will come to play," said Eric Gottschalk, IPTL COO. "Nadal and Djokovic play for the league but will not travel to Manila. They will only play in Dubai and India. It's like football. You have a squat of players but not everyone is playing all matches."

"King of Clay" Rafael Nadal will lead team Indian Aces, who will also have Pete Sampras, Gael Monfils, Ana Ivanovic, Sania Mirza, Rohan Bopanna and Frabrice Santoro.

World number one Novak Djokovic will team up with Caroline Wozniacki, Richard Gasquet, Nenad Zimonjic, Janko Tipsarevic, Goran Ivanisevic, Malek Jaziri and Eugenie Bouchard to form the UAE Royals, while the Singapore Slammers will have Serena Williams, Andre Agassi, Tomas Berdych, Lleyton Hewitt, Nick Kyrgios, Daniela Hantuchova, Bruno Soares and Patrick Rafter.

On the first day of the event, Team India will battle Team Singapore at 4pm, before the home team take on UE at 7:30pm. Come November 29, UAE will tussle with the Singapore team, before Manila tests India at 7:30pm. On the final day, UAE will take on India at 4pm, before Manila collides with Singapore at 7:30pm.

All tickets are sold as three-day passes. General admission is at Php 2,500, while Upper Box sells at Php 11,500. Lower Box tickets are offered for Php 23,000, while Patron seats cost Php 40,000. VIP access is at a premium price of Php 49,000.
