Music review: Oka Laila Kosam
The album starts with a solo number Ee Chinni Life crooned by Alphons Joseph and Anup Rubens. The energetic track has electric guitar used to good effect. Cheli Nuvve Naa Cheli is a romantic number with beautiful guitar and string sections. Adnan Sami sang the track in his own style and is one of the best numbers of the film. In fact, the soothing number reminds the listeners of Anup's earlier composition Chinni Chinni Aasalu from Manam.
O Meri Jaane Jaana is another youthful and romantic number crooned by Javed Ali. The grooving beats are blended with good disco sounds. The much anticipated remix Oka Laila Kosam is interestingly sung by SP Charan, son of SP Balasubramanyam, who sang the original version. The orchestration has a contemporary touch; however, it retains the original flavour with interludes designed to foot tapping beats.
Teluse Nuvvu Raavani, sung by Ankit Tiwari, is a solo melancholy number, with good usage of pianos and violins. Rubens Club Mix is another interesting mashup of all the songs. On the whole, the album looks good with a blend of melodies and fast paced numbers.
