SURAT: Twenty-three people were injured when a bus of a private mill overturned near Vankaner in Valod taluka of Tapi district on Sunday. All the injured were treated at
Sardar Hospital in Bardoli and discharged, police said.
The bus of Sahiba Silk Mills was going to pick workers from villages of Bardoli taluka of Surat and Valod taluka of Tapi district when its driver lost control over the wheels near Ashram Faliya.
"The bus driver had applied brakes to avoid collision with a bus in front. The bus tilted to its left soon thereafter," said police inspector
Aswin Chiman Patel.
The bus driver, Dinesh Chaudhary, fled from the spot.
"No one had suffered any serious injuries. We will be arresting the driver soon," the police officer said.
