Chandigarh Express fire sparks panic

BHOPAL: Panic gripped passengers onboard Itarsi-bound Chhattisgarh Express when few coaches of the train were filled with smoke on Sunday. Thereafter, passengers pulled chain to stoptrain near Obaidullaganj. Later, it was reported that fire started in brake van attached to S3 coach and smoke soon filled other coaches. Railway officials and control room was informed.Train was detained at Obaidullaganj for almost half an hour where minor repair works were done. Thereafter, train was sent to Itarsi.
Man falls off train, dies: A man succumbed to injuries after he fell off a moving train at Habibganj station on Sunday. At noon, while deboarding Pathankot Express at platform number 4, a man fell down and his legs were severed. He succumbed to injuries at Hamidia Hospital.
