Forest Minister inaugurates school building

KANGAN, Aug 31: The Minister for Forests and Environment, Mian Altaf Ahmad inaugurated Girls High School Building at Preng in Kangan constituency completed at a cost of about Rs 50 lakh.
The Minister also laid foundation of Community Centre at Manigam and additional accommodation of Middle School building at Anderwon coming up at an accumulated cost of Rs 1.83 crore. Rs 1.43 crore are being incurred on Community Centre while Rs 40 lakh on construction of school building.
Talking to the people at Preng and Anderwon, the Minister said that education is the primary requirement of development and prosperity. He said education sector has remained high on the agenda of the present Government, adding the initiatives for taking education to the door step of the students, especially living in rural and hilly areas, are showing encouraging results. He asked people to give better education to their children to make them responsible, cultured and civilized citizen of the State.
While interacting with the people at Manigam, the Minister said that community centre, once completed, will facilitate people to organize their social gatherings there. He said the people are the real owners of the assets being created by the Government and asked them to ensure safety and cleanliness of the centre for their own interests. He said people are witnessing all round development started by the present Government since 2008 and are the best judges of the performance of the Government.
