UPSC model to create new image for Telangana

Governor advises CM to consider retired higher officials with clean track record
Hyderabad: Deciding to create a new image of the functioning of the Telangana state government, the state government has decided to adopt UPSC-norms for the selection of state government employees.Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan had advised Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to consider only retired higher officials with clean track records and experts in various fields for appointment as members to accord a clean image to the constitutional body.
The Commission will also follow a strict annual calendar like the UPSC to conduct recruitment exams unlike now when no one knows the schedule of notification, exams, results etc.
All government departments will have to mandatorily submit vacancy details to the Commission regularly, failing which explanations will be sought and disciplinary action will be initiated against the respective HoDs.
