The traffic police will restrict the movement of vehicles in the city on Sunday in view of the Vinayaka Chathurthi procession.
Curbs will be in place from 3 p.m. on the Chakka Kallumoodu- Shanghumughom-Madhavapuram Kulathoor-Venpalavattom-
Kumarapuram-Kannamoola-Nalumukku-Pattoor route.
Vehicles from Thiruvallam, towards Chakka, have to go via the Kallumoodu-Shanghumughom-Madhavapuram- Kulathoor route and vehicles from Kazhakuttom, towards the city, should take the Venpalavattom-Kumarapuram-Kannamoola-Nalumukku-Pattoor route.
Vehicles carrying people for the public meeting and procession from Shanghumughom side should drop them on YMCA road; those coming from Attukal should drop them at Chakka Bridge; from Vattiyurkavu, on right side of the Chakka-Pettah road; from Kowdiar, on the Akshara Vedi road at Chakka; and from Peroorkada on the left side of the Chakka-Pettah road.
Vehicles from Sreekaryam should drop people on the Chakka-Subramanyam Kovil road; from Kazhakuttom, on the left side of the Chakka-Kazhakuttom road; from Poojappura on the right side of Chakka-Vallakadavu road; and from Pappanamcode, near the shopping complex at Chakka-Vallakadavu. After dropping people, the vehicles should proceed towards Shanghumughom for parking. The public may call 94979 87001, 94979 87002, or 255 8731 to offer suggestions and register complaints.
