LFW '14: Nargis Fakhri walks for Anushree Reddy
Anushree Reddy unveiled her signature collection of vintage flora, fused with age-old Hyderabadi zardozi, to recreate a
romantic old world charm, at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014.
Inspired by the vintage market and the myriad of colours of Portobello road, the new collection is an ode to the designer's love for everything vintage and her strong Indian roots. The character of the Portobello market and its location encompass the old British charm giving birth to quirky elements and impactful rose prints.
From elements of vintage newspaper print to
additions of a measuring tape print, Anushree has covered a whole array of flirty inspirations in her latest collection.
The Indian chapter of Portobello brings forth a new reign of vintage-meets-Indian influences. Nargis Fakhri who was the showstopper for Anushree said, “I love the way Anushree has reinterpreted the floral print and put a modern, vintage spin to it. The colours are exquisite, and the feel comfortable. The way she has styled me, particularly the flowy lehenga, made me feel beautiful, feminine — a modern day princess.”
