City bus service and BRTS merged

RAJKOT: In a decision taken on Saturday to streamline local public transport services, Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has opted for merger of Rajkot Municipal Transport Service (RMTS) that operates city bus service in the city with Rajkot Rajpath Ltd (RRL) that operates Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) on the 150ft Ring Road.
The standing committee of RMC has approved the proposal moved by RMC Commissioner Vijay Nehra. "Both services are for the commuters and providing mass transportation to the residents of the city.The integration will help smooth administration and implementation of various changes in the future,'' said an official.
