The contact group for Ukraine is expected to meet in Minsk on September 1, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told Interfax on Saturday.

"A meeting of the contact group for Ukraine is planned in Minsk on September 1," a ministry spokesperson said.

The participants in a summit of the leaders of the Belarusian-Kazakh-Russian Customs Union member-states, the Ukrainian president, and EU representatives in Minsk on August 26 had agreed to make Minsk a regular venue of meetings of the Ukraine-Russia-OSCE contact group.
