Kole project set to take off

Centre has allotted Rs.163 crore for schemes

The first phase of Comprehensive Kole Development Package will take off soon. A meeting chaired by C.N. Jayadevan, MP, has reviewed the progress of the development package for the Thrissur-Ponnani kole lands.

The Centre has allotted projects worth Rs. 163.82 crore in the first phase. Of this, projects worth Rs. 22.25 crore were completed.

Fifty per cent of the infrastructural facilities are ready. Tender procedures were completed for Rs. 27.45 crore worth project for buying agriculture equipment and Rs. 1 crore worth project for buying a modern pumping system.
