Tamil and Telugu star
Trisha Krishnan has finally debuted in
Kannada films, nearly after a decade since she entered showbiz. The actress's film Power***, the remake of the Telugu blockbuster
Dookudu, released on Thursday, which coincidentally was also Gowri habba.
The Puneeth Rajkumar-starrer has fared quite well at the box office, with the fans getting all the stereotypical elements of a mass entertainer, a big relief for them after Puneeth's rather classy outing in Ninnindale earlier this year at the box office.
The film doing well also means Trisha's got a comparatively better debut than some of her other contemporaries in
Sandalwood.
While
Sameera Reddy's supporting act in Varadanayaka went rather unnoticed,
Shriya Saran's much-hyped heroine-centric film debut in Chandra was also a no show at the box office. The only other Tamil star who did have a good outing in Sandalwood was
Nayanthara. Sadly, Nayan never returned to do a Kannada film after Super. Will Trisha take up more roles now, this is something only time can tell...
