Ranga Shankara turns 10

With Ranga Shankara set to celebrate its 10th anniversary in October, it was time for nostalgia when artist Balan Nambiar caught up with the theatre's creative director Arundhati Nag recently.
While fondly recalling the theatre's inaugural function as it were yesterday, Nambiar talked about how he still heads to the theatre regularly to catch performances, all of which follow a “minimum standard“.What he would really like is for other theatres following Ranga Shankara's policy of not allowing entry to latecomers.
Interesting, considering this comes from an artist who lives in Jayamahal and travels to Ranga Shankara on a regular basis.
