APJ gives Ludhiana students 'wings of fire'
LUDHIANA: During his visit to Ludhiana, former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam stressed the need for differentiating between the two categories of skill. ?Students in Ludhiana have dreams. They are focused. They should be given two types of certificates - knowledge and skill certificate" he said during an interaction with TOI.
Kalam visited Satya Bharti School, Jagroan, Sat Paul Mittal School and BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, where he interacted with students, addressing them as ?friends', thus establishing instant rapport with them.

His vision motivated students to reach for the sky. "He shared his success mantra and asked students to aim high. He said having a small aim is a crime. He asked students to think out of the box. He also made us realize we have the talent, we have the power and the ideas. All that we need to do is try. I feel so fortunate about interacting with a legend," said a student of Sat Paul Mittal School, Amreen Kaur.
Kalam made students repeat his words and made them take an oath to do good work, achieve goals and contribute to the nation. "We must have a great brain before we turn 20. We must acquire up to date knowledge. We must work hard. We must learn to defeat all problems and succeed in life. This is the formula to achieve uniqueness, formula of success," said Kalam.
