Army to root out terrorists: Gen Raheel

ISLAMABAD - Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Friday said that performance of Special Services Group (SSG) is outstanding in war on terror, particularly in operation Zarb-e-Azb.
He vowed that with such high quality, professionally skilled troops, the army will root out all terrorists from their hideouts even from the most treacherous and far-off areas.  He was talking to SSG troops at Cherat. Gen Raheel sharif examined joint field training exercise of Pakistan and China special forces at Special Services Group headquarters near Cherat.
Three weeks long joint military training exercise Warrior-2014 focused on the joint anti-terrorism training of the special operation forces of Pakistan and China which included airdropping and heli-lifting of special forces, search & rescue and assault on terrorist strong holds.
The COAS congratulated the participants of both armies for successful completion of their joint training exercise and appreciated their high state of morale, courage and professionalism. Such joint training exercises have immensely helped enhance the professional skills and operational preparedness of both the armies against terrorism, the COAS said. He reiterated that Chinese and Pakistan armies have special relationship, which has transformed over time and is only bound to grow.
