Police questions videographer

Srinagar, Aug 29: A videographer working with a national news channel was questioned by police for interviewing supporters of Islamic State or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Srinagar early this month.
Sheikh Umar Altaf, who works with a national news channel as stringer, was questioned today by police. He had interviewed three masked boys holding an ISIS flag in Old City of Srinagar. The boys had told the news channel that they are supporters of ISIS.
Sheikh was called to Police Station Nowhatta and taken to Rainawari Police Station where he was questioned. They wanted him to divulge the names of the three youth and he alleged that he was threatened. They also accused us of enacting a drama.
A Police spokesman said that they had summoned the videographer for questioning.
