Earlier this week in Gray Matters, Maggie Galehouse proposed a literary meme. She wrote:

"A Facebook friend (who also happens to be a poet) started posting 'bookshelfies' from her circle of friends. I'd like to keep that story going. Got any of your own?"

So instead of selfies, our Facebook friends began posting "shelfies": self-portraits that show not the face but the mind.
