Grimes, Russell, and Stella Challenge ALS to Stop Animal Tests

Just as Pamela Anderson was, Grimes, Russell Simmons, and Stella McCartney were nominated for the ALS Foundation’s Ice Bucket Challenge. And just like Pamela, they know that the animal experiments that the ALS Foundation conducts are cruel and have gotten us no closer to a cure. Stella agreed to get wet, but still spoke out against the ALS Foundation’s animal experiments:

Grimes declined to make a video and donated money to education instead. In Russell’s video, he called out three people to fight animal testing?including PETA President Ingrid Newkirk.

In an interview about his environmental activism, he said, “A vegan, or somebody who eats 100 percent plant-based, they have about one-third of the carbon footprint associated with food production of somebody who eats meat. And that’s big. We can act. We can walk over to the thermostat, and we can change it. We can turn down the heat on this planet very quickly.”
