Bandung, West Java (ANTARA News) - State oil and gas company Pertamina will pay medical expenses to injured victims of a fuel pipeline explosion in Mandalawangi Village, Sukasari Subdistrict, Subang District, West Java, on Thursday, the enterprises spokesperson said.

"The wounded survivors have been admitted at the Central Pertamina Hospital in Jakarta because it has adequate facilities for treating burn victims," Milla Suciyani told journalists here on Friday.

The blast, which occurred at about 05.48 am on Thursday, had killed three people and injured five others.

According to Milla, Pertaminas workers have been working hard to fix the leaked section of pipelines and clean the explosion site.

The local police have been investigating the incident, which is suspected to have been caused by illegal tapping.
