Edinburgh Airport increases drop-off charges

  • Published

Edinburgh Airport is to increase charges for drivers who take more than five minutes to drop off passengers at the terminal building.

The £1 charge will increase to £3 for stays of between five and 10 minutes, and rise to £7 for stays of between 20 minutes and an hour.

The drop-off charges proved controversial when they were first introduced in 2010.

Edinburgh Airport said the rise is part of changes to improve traffic flow.
