BHOPAL: A 59-year-old inspector posted as DSP at AJK police station in Sagar district committed suicide on Thursday apparently to get a compensatory job in the police department for his jobless son.
Yeshwant Thakur, whose retirement was due after a couple of months, was found hanging inside his rented accommodation near the AJK police station in the afternoon by his domestic help.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters and a 25-year-old son.
Police said he was an able officer and suffered no ailments. "He went to AJK police station to collect his service revolver in the afternoon. But he could not get it as the constable who had the keys to the locker had gone for lunch. Minutes later he was found hanging," said an officer privy to the information.
Initial investigations suggest that all three daughters were married. He was only worried about his son who was struggling for a job. "Compensatory job could be the reason. Investigations are on," said the officer.
