Arjun Janya teams up with Upendra for Super Ranga
Music review: Super Ranga

Film: Super Ranga
Music director: Arjun Janya
Rating: ***
It's an Upendra film. One that has to be quirky in every way, and the music is no different, what with the actor pitching in for two of them -one as a singer and the other as a co-lyricist.
Composer Arjun Janya's definite winner is the K Kalyan penned Dance Raja Dance, which has been sung by Upendra and polished and worked on by the composer.
While the beginning riff of the song reminds you of Amitabh Bachchan's number Eer Bhir Phatte, the number transforms into a funky creation that one can learn the words to and sing along.

This is followed by Chombu Chombu, written by Upendra and Dr V Nagendra Prasad. The number is sung by yet another Sandalwood favourite Vijay Prakash, but in a style quite unlike his own.
The album's romantic duet is Nanagu Ninagu, sung by Tippu and Archana Ravi -`enigma'tic and impressive. Penned by Kalyan, this is bound to climb the charts too.
An album is not complete without the composer rendering his voice to one of his numbers. He does so for the song Ninnade Nenapu, albeit with too much technological changes, so much so that he does not sound like himself at all. Penned by Kalyan, the catchy track completes the collection.
