Actress Mythriya Gowda spends day 2 in temple, TV studios

Bengaluru: Actress Mythriya, who on Wednesday night lodged a complaint with the R.T. Nagar police against Union railway minister, D V Sadananda Gowda’s son, Karthik, accusing him of rape, spent Thursday going to the Shiridi Saibaba Temple in R.T. Nagar and giving interviews on television channels. The police sent her a notice requesting her to cooperate with the investigation while she was sitting in a live TV show. And at 9 pm Thursday night, the actress met senior officers in the R.T. Nagar police station to record her statement.

City police commissioner, M N Reddi,when contacted, said the police would act according to the law. "Yes we will summon him (Karthik) and if he is found guilty, we will arrest him," he said.A case was booked on Wednesday night against the minister’s son under sections 376 (rape) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of the actress’ complaint, who said she hailed from the same caste and community that he belonged to and theirs was a genuine love affair. She denied she was trying to defame the Gowda family for political ends.
