Broadcom Introduces New Development Kit into WICED Family
Leading semiconductor solutions provider Broadcom Corporation (BRCM) recently introduced a new development kit in its Wireless Internet Connectivity for Embedded Devices (WICEF) family for further advancing the Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
The user-friendly development kit, which is available for $19.99, includes Broadcom's newest Bluetooth smart chip, five micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and a software stack with Bluetooth 4.1 compatibility. Broadcom's WICED kit enables software and hardware developers to experiment with new IoT applications in a cost-effective manner and simultaneously help them to reduce the time to market their devices and applications.
The kit and a smartphone can be connected with WICED Sense application to start experimentation with sensor technology like direction, humidity, speed and atmospheric pressure.
