There is onboard memory where you can store macros for each button

Gaming mice are suffering from the same problem as every other piece of high-end equipment in the world: lack of uniqueness. After all, since their makers have to install every high-end feature they can think of, there's not much that can make a mouse truly stand out compared to the rest.

EVGA still did its best to differentiate the Torq X10 though. The company realized it couldn't really stray much in terms of performance, but it could try and make it unusual in another way.

The result was a mouse body which can not only change its weight, but its size as well. Specifically, you can adjust the height of the body.

Admittedly, this is not an unheard of feature either, but it is rare enough that it will turn a few heads and raise a few eyebrows.

The thing about mice is that they don't feel the same for everyone. People have smaller or larger hands than everyone else, with longer or shorter fingers, etc. Because of that, the palm may not actually be able to rest on the, well, palm rest of the mouse.

The adjustable height will solve that problem quite neatly, just like the weight system will make sure the mouse is not heavier or lighter than preferred.

To be more specific, you can set the mouse to any weight from 147 grams / 5.18 ounces to 160 grams / 5.64 ounces.

As for the actual hardware, it's centered around the Avago 9800 laser sensor, whose top sensitivity is of 8,200 DPI, with 1,000 Hz polling rate.

In layman terms, it means that you'll be hard-pressed to locate a mouse with higher precision and responsiveness, or speed of communication with the PC.

Furthermore, the mouse buttons employ Omron switches, whose 20 million click lifecycle means the peripheral will last a long, long time.

There are 9 buttons in total by the way, all of them programmable for various functions in different games. There are 512 kB of onboard memory you can use to store five key profiles.

EVGA will sell the Torq X10 gaming mouse in red, blue, yellow, orange, pink and purple color options. LED color options to be precise, since the mouse will always be made of black carbon fiber. All versions have low friction PTFE feet, an ambidextrous design and silver-coated wires. The price is of €89.90 / $118 / £69.99 / 879 SEK. A plastic version should be sold as well, for €69.90 / $92.35 / £49.99 / 599 SEK.
