Three teams of IES College have secured places among top 50 teams in engineering design innovation contest ?Engineering for Next Generation (EngiNX)' organised by Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCSL).

BHOPAL: Three teams of IES College have secured places among top 50 teams in engineering design innovation contest ?Engineering for Next Generation (EngiNX)' organised by Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCSL). It is a competition organised at international level. According to college authorities, the team led by Sajan Kumar presented the idea of low cost air-conditioners which would also be eco-friendly.
Another team led by Mrityunjay presented idea of pollution alert while the third team led by Deepak presented idea about awareness through social networking. Group director, Professor Sunita Singh and college staff congratulated teams.
Panel discussion: Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) will be hosting a panel discussion on "Water and River Ecosystems: Issues and Challenges" on Thursday. Executive director of Peace Institute Charitable Trust Manoj Kumar Misra will be among the invitees. He is also forestry and wildlife expert, and former a IFS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. Other panelists include Sudhirendar Sharma director, ecological foundation, New Delhi. Discussion is among efforts taken by institute to raise awareness about prevalent and alarming environmental issues, particularly related to fresh water and river ecosystems in country. This is an initiative of the newly constituted Brand Value and Visibility Enhancement Cell of IIFM.
Basketball tourney: Truba College defeated JNCT 15-5 and Bansal College beat RGPV-UIT 23-6 on the opening day of the RGPV nodal basketball tournament that began at Oriental College on Wednesday. In other matches, SisTec defeated LNCT 55-45 and SIRT defeated IES College 33-6. Registrar of RGPV AKS Bhadauriya and chairman of Oriental College Praveen Thakral inaugurated the tournament.
Education tour: Second and third year students of electrical and electronics engineering department of Scope College visited photo-voltaic power plant on an educational tour. According to college authorities, students learned tips on solar power plant and electricity generation. Expert SS Gadre briefed students about the plant.
Workshop: A two-day workshop for first and final year students of Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Management (GGITM) was organised recently. Lead corporate trainer from Limitless, Mumbai, Animesh Gupta, conducted the session. He also emphasized on how to get prepared for corporate and industry. He gave tips and tricks on how to improve communication, aptitude, developing life skills and adopting corporate culture. On the occasion, executive secretary, Gyan Ganga Group, Miny Raj Modi, director GGITM, Abhinav Jain, principal GGITM, PS Venkataramu were present.
