SAMBA, Aug 27: An Inter-house singing competition was held in the auditorium of Humanity Public School in which two teams each from the four Houses of Agni, Akash, Prithvi and Trishool participated.
Each House presented one solo and one group song to vie for the top honours.
Abhishek Gill of 10th standard won the first prize, Pooja Devi of 8th standard got the second prize and Vanshika of 10th standard claimed third place in solo song, whereas in group song, Prithvi House, Akash House and Trishool House secured first, second and third positions respectively.
Principal of the institution, Gaurav Charak was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking said that the main purpose of the competition was to bring out the hidden talent of the students.
He also congratulated the music teachers Rakesh and Anmol Singh for putting great efforts to train the students.
The jury members of the competition were Vijay Sharma, Rekha Mehra,  Sandeep Zutshi and Kanchan Chalotra.
The stage was managed by Amita Choudhary and Sapna under the supervision of Sandeep and Rekha.
