The families of two brothers became the victim of burglars in Malahia Ramna area under Lanka police station on Tuesday night. According to reports, the families of five brothers live separately in their houses in Malahia Ramna locality.
Due to power cut the members of the families of two brother including late Dashrath Patel and Buddhiram were sleeping on the terrace of their houses.
After midnight a band of thieves raided their places and decamped with cash and valuables. The incident came to light. The family of Dashrath alleged that the thieves fled with cash Rs 40,000 and ornaments of over Rs three lakhs while cash Rs 50,000 and other valuables of over Rs 3.50 lakhs were stolen from the house of Buddhiram. Despite the fact that a police picket of Dhaphi police outpost is located at stone throw distance from the incident site the thieves operated fearlessly.
Before it the burglars had also raided the house of a salesman in a residential colony of Samneghat area on Sunday night when he along with family members was sleeping leaving the doors and windows of house opened for relief during power cut. The cops have not succeeded in working out any of these theft cases.

According to reports, Pappu Kanojia, a native of Vasliganj, was staying in Surat (Gujarat) to earn livelihood. Her had come back to his place a month back. On August 21 he left home for marketing but did not return. After searching him at all possible places where he could go his family members reported the matter to police on August 25.
On Tuesday night some passer by noticed his body dumped in the ruins of a building after which police reached the incident site. During police investigation it came to light that Pappu had started consuming heroine. It is suspected that he had visited the ruins of the building to consume heroine with other drug addicts when the latter looted cash Rs 35000 from him after slitting his throat. A named FIR was lodged against three persons in this connection. Police arrested all the accused who confessed their crime.
