Disha Savla Upadhyay: I loved working with Yashpal Sharma!

Actress Disha Savla Upadhyay, who will be seen playing the female lead in Zee TV’s eagerly-awaited show 'Neeli Chhatri Wale' (produced by Ashwini Dhir), says that working with Yashpal Sharma remains a great moment for her as an actress. Yashpal plays Bhagwan Das, the protagonist of the show, and Disha says that she was initially quite apprehensive about sharing screen space with the senior actor.

Disha, who was in Vadodara to promote the show, shares, “Yashpal Sharma is a wonderful actor and I have seen almost all his films till date. So, I was really in awe of him during the first day of the shoot and was feeling pretty nervous. But he is a really down-to-earth human being and really helped me in preparing for the scene. It was he who broke the ice and after that, shooting with him has been a superb experience and I loved it.” She adds, “I am pretty excited about the show because it speaks of man’s relationship with God and how he manages to tune in to his inner voice through conversations with God. I play the typical, nagging wife of Bhagwan Das, who constantly compares him to other people and adds to his daily woes. It is a unique concept and we are hopeful that the show will do very well.”
