Illegal assets of Mysore babu have highest value, sleuths say

MYSORE: Lokayukta ADGP HNS Rao said the value of illegal assets seized from Ramakrishnaiah (E Ramakrishnaiah, child development project officer, HD Kote, Mysore district) was the highest, running up to Rs 1.28 crore (worth 353% of disproportionate assets).
He owns 18 properties in Mysore city and surrounding areas, besides three high-end four-wheelers.
Deputy tahsildar Shivananjappa from Bangalore South taluk came next with assets worth Rs 1.19 crore.He has eight acres of land in Ganakal village in Bidadi and in Chikkenahalli, Tavarekere of Bangalore.
He also has a three-floor residence in Banashankari and three more sites in the industrial town of Bidadi, Ramanagaram district.
KIDFC engineer Seetharamu was found to have two plots in RT Nagar in Bangalore, besides three agricultural plots, one acre in Bhairapura and two acres each in Bommanahalli and Kappagere — all three villages from Hosadurga taluk in Chitradurga district. He also has two more plots in Hosadurga town, two sites in the city and another in Kyathasandra in Tumkur district. His total assets are worth over Rs 1 crore.
Kolar municipal commissioner Jagadeesh has a two-floor house, four housing plots in Kolar town in his and his wife’s name. He also has Rs 6 lakh cash in hand and over Rs 4 lakh in three bank accounts, over 1.1 kg of gold worth Rs 23 lakh with disproportionate assets running to more than Rs 69 lakh.
Shivananda has seven housing plots in Shimoga city, nearly two acres of land in Urugaduru, 16 guntas of land in Toppinaghatta in Shimoga — all worth over Rs 77 lakh. The first division assistant from Tumkur has three houses, including a multi-storied building with eight houses in SIT Extension of Tumkur, a 10 gunta land in Doddaballapur of Bangalore Rural district.
Assistant executive engineer Kawaldar has four acres of land in Yadgir district besides four plots, including a house in one of the plots. His assets are worth Rs 76.67 lakh.
