Vichhiya Bhuriya to contest from Limkheda

VADODARA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday chose Dahod district health committee chairman Vichhiya Bhuriya as its candidate for Limkheda assembly by-election. The bypoll will take place because Jaswantsinh Bhabhor from the constituency was elected Member of Parliament from Dahod parliamentary seat in the general elections held recently.
Bhuriya is a former president of Limkheda taluka panchayat and is a relative of Bhabhor.He was amongst the 13 people, who had staked claim for the ticket for the assembly bypoll from the BJP.
Congress had earlier given ticket for the bypoll to Chhatrasinh Meda. The candidate is a sitting member of Limkheda taluka panchayat. He is a relative of Garbada Congress MLA Chandrika Baria.
