Newly-wed woman goes missing

PUNE: A 22-year-old newly-married woman has mysteriously gone missing from her residence in Balajinagar in Bhosari since August 22.
The police identified the woman as Nikita Suresh Chavan. Her husband Suresh Chavan (26) has lodged a missing person's complaint with the Bhosari MIDC police station.
Chavan said that on the evening of August 22, when he returned from work, he found that his wife was not in the house.When Chavan asked the neighbours about her whereabouts, they told him that she was seen in the house till afternoon.
After searching for her in the neighbourhood, Chavan approached the Bhosari police station and lodged a complaint.
Meanwhile, Chavan also contacted his in-laws in Latur district, but even they did not have any information. The couple got married in May this year.
The Bhosari MIDC police said Chavan stated that his wife had Rs 15,000 in cash with her, which Chavan had borrowed from his employer.
Police have made an appeal to the citizens to contact the police station on the telephone number 020-20274444 regarding any information about the missing woman.
